I do not know what words you have problems with what can only have a few suggestions, and if it helps, great. If not, sorry, try it!

1. Take cards and place them on common issues such as "table", "Lava" and if you get it.
2. I took my son, an alphabet of words and pictures, were the words.
3. Practice, practice, practice. It's a long time, but it works. Try to get a way to make, fun to be found. My son and I want to go home from school and see ... That means a tree. I would say: "tree" Tree "and copied it to me. Now in the fifth grade, all A's and read the band of at least Grade 8 level and is 100% exam.

It is obvious that attention. And it is a perfect start to get to you. Good luck to you!

People learn the same way today as it was 20 or 30 years.

Repetition is the key. And the rules of spelling - I E except after C.

Report of things, as you're driving and need to spell words. Make a game.

Sometimes it helps teach the roots of our language - Latin and Greek. Many words have Latin and Greek roots. And these roots are used in most languages.

It is a wonderful place that my kids use it at school and at home there www.starfall.com. My 4 years loves it, without realizing that he teaches. It is lively and has music and games. She goes through each letter and tells the sounds they produce.

If you can read, learn to spell, too. He can not read without knowing how to write. I agree with someone who wrote the "Hooked on Phonics.
