Radiologists will destroy a radioactive wire breast cancer cells in the vicinity of the barrier. What should be the cable, an alpha, beta or gamma emitters?

The range of alpha particles in tissue is not sufficient to reach all cancer cells in the tumor site. Alpha particles can penetrate only a few dozen microns tissue. Beta particles have a longer range and provides a better chance to reach all cancer cells, radiation at the edge of the tumor.
